She Corporate 2-0 Wakiso Hill

She Corporate grabbed their second win of the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League season after defeating Wakiso Hill 2-0 at the MUBS Arena in Nakawa.

The victory put to an end of the She Corporate’s six match winless streak having last won on the first day of the season against Uganda Martyrs.

Whisper Alomo and second half substitute Mary Kantono scored the goal for the former league champions in the first and second half respectively.

Alomo capitalized on Jessica Namanda’s miscued effort to slot home the opening goal in the 36th minute of the game.

Prior to Alomo’s goal, Wakiso Hill teenage goalkeeper Halima Kasuubo pulled off successive stops to deny the Namanda.

Wakiso Hill had their best attempts through Judith Mawuwa and Patricia Nayiga but couldn’t beat Molly Naava in the She Corporate goal.

Kantono who came off the bench to replace Barbara Aderu, doubled the lead for the home side from Namanda’s teasing ball in the 83rd minute.

The victory took She Corporate to the 6th place on 10 points garnered from the eight games played.

Defeat leaves Wakiso Hill in a precarious situation in the 11th place. Second from bottom, the Antelopes are winless in the first eight games of the season.

Amus College beat Makerere University 1-0 in the other game played on Sunday courtesy of a goal by Jazira Amiya.

She Maroons beat Rines SS WFC 1-0 in the only game played on Saturday thanks to Lillian Zeddy Veronica’s first half goal.
