SC Villa will be seeking for their maiden away win when they visit second placed NEC FC on Friday evening at MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.
This season, SC Villa have only managed just a point in the four games they have played on the road.
Morley Byekwaso’s men come into this contest after a 6-1 thrashing of Wakiso Giants in their previous game and are currently fifth with 14 points
NEC FC managed by former SC Villa player Hussein Mbalangu are second on the league table with 19 points.
Mbalangu’s charges ended KCCA FC’s unbeaten start in their last game.
The tactician is hopeful his side can humble the champions whom they failed to beat last term, losing both games 3-0 and 2-0 respectively.
“We are facing another good team and we have had similarly the preparations like against KCCA. “
“Villa score a lot of goals but also concede so we have done our home work on how to take advantage of their weaknesses,” he added.
Team News
The hosts will be without right back Atendele Geriga due to card accumulation while Joseph Dhata, Tarni Barni and former Villa midfielder Amir Kakomo are all ruled out through injuries.
SC Villa will be without forward Hassan Mubiru who lost his baby.
Key Players
NEC will bank on in form Muzamir Mutyaba and Paul Mucureezi while SC Villa will look up to their attack led by top scorer Charles Lwanga, Patrick Jonah Kakande and Hakim Kiwanuka.
