CAF has confirmed the nominees for the 2024 Goal of the Year with Denis Omedi’s Rabona goal among them.
Omedi scored a Rabona goal as Kitara FC beat KCCA FC 3-2 in the FUFA Super 8 contest at Lugogo.
His nominations comes days after being nominated for the FIFA prestigious Puskas award.
Fans will have a chance to vote on who wins the prestigious award.
The shortlist created by an expert CAF Technical Panel features 11 goals scored in CAF competitions between January and October 2024, reflecting the incredible talent of players across the continent.
Voting is officially open and will end on Thursday, 12 December, 2024.
To facilitate voting, CAF has created a dedicated platform available on the CAF website and official social media channels.
Fans votes will count 70% of the overall score with the other 30% going out to CAF’s Technical Experts.

The winner will be announced during the glittering CAF Awards Gala, scheduled for Monday, 16 December 2024, in Marrakech, Morocco.
