Croatian side NK Varazdin are interested in signing Uganda Cranes defender Timothy Dennis Awany.
Awanya currently features for Israeli topflight side FC Ashdod and has a year left on his employment contract at the club.
According to Nerve Africa Exclusive, the Croatian outfit are ready to pay for Awany’s signature this transfer window.
Talks between the two clubs will continue this week and a compromise is expected to be reached.
The former KCCA FC defender has spent the last five seasons at Ashdod whom he joined at the start of the 2019/20 campaign.
At Ashdod, Awany has 147 appearances across all competitions. Last season, he played 24 times.
During his time at KCCA FC, Awany won two league titles with the 13 time Uganda Premier league champions when they were managed by Mike Hillary Mutebi.
