Lady Doves 4-1 Makerere University
Resty Kobusobozi scored a hat trick to inspire Lady Doves to a 4-1 win over Makerere University in the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League at the Katusabe Dove Stadium.
Kobusobozi became the second player to score a hat trick this season after Kawempe Muslim’s Agnes Nabukenya who scored thrice against Rines on the opening day of the season.
Kobusobozi was on the target in the 14th, 55th and 70th minute before Margret Namande completed the rout in the 81st minute.
Rebecca Nakasaaato’s goal in the 20th minute turned out to be a mere consolation for the University side.
Kobusobozi is now the leading scorer this season having scored five goals and assisted twice in the seven games she has played so far.
Agnes Nabukenya and Rines WFC’s Phiona Arach follow Kobusobozi with four goals each.
The comprehensive win took Lady Doves to 11 points in the 6th place from seven games while Makerere now sit 8th with nine points from nine games.
The other games played over the weekend saw Rines beat She Corporate 1-0 courtesy of Arach’s all important goal while Amus beat She Maroons 1-0 thanks to Shayline Opisa’s goal.
Tooro Queens beat Wakiso Hill 2-0 to register their first win of the campaign with goals coming from Imelda Kasemire and Evelyn Katusiime.
