Kitara FC ended Maroons FC’s fine form with a comfortable 4-0 win at Luzira on Thursday.

Before Thursday’s defeat, Maroons had prevailed to wins over URA FC, Soltilo Bright Stars and Mbarara City.

Kitara’s third win under the stewardship of Wasswa Bbosa was inspired by Fred Amaku, Ronald Otti and a brace from their in form striker Jude Ssemugabi.

Former Maroons FC player Amaku opened the scoring for the visitors in the 9th minute before Otti doubled their advantage two minutes later off a Kabon Living corner.

In the 28th minute, Ssemugabi scored the third after being fed by Frank Tumwesigye Zaga.

Ssemugabi completed the scoring late in the game.

Kitara have now scored 14 goals in four matches, conceding none and are currently 10th on the table with 14 points.

Maroons remain 7th with 16 points after suffering a second home defeat following the 3-2 loss against Wakiso Giants earlier in the season.

Maroons will next face Police FC on Thursday 19th December at Kavumba while Kitara will welcome Wasswa Bbosa’s former paymasters Express FC on Saturday, 21st December.
