Ugandan officials appointed for Ethiopia Vs Sudan CHAN Qualifier contest

Ugandan officials have been appointed for the African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifier match between Ethiopia and Sudan.

Lucky Razake Kasalirwe will be in charge of the first leg contest due on 22nd December at Benina Martyrs of Benina Stadium.

Kasalirwe fresh from the CAF Elite B course, which was a preparation for the upcoming 2024 CHAN tournament due in Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania next year.

He was in charge of the Uganda Premier league match day 12 contest between SC Villa and Police FC at Wankulukuku Stadium.

Kasalirwe also officiated the Masaza Cup Final between Buddu and Kyaggwe that was played at Mandela National Stadium in November.

Emmanuel Okudra and Katenga Ashiraf are the first and second assistants.

George Olemu is the fourth official while Libya’s Gamal Salem Embaia is the match commissioner.

Ali Mohamed Ahmed from Somalia is the Referee Assessor.

For starters, the CHAN biennial tournament comprises players featuring in their respective local leagues on the African continent.

The final tournament is slated for February 1st to 28th, 2025, having been pushed from the initial September 2024 by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
