Mbale Heroes are in negotiations to appoint Baker Mboowa as their new head coach, Swift Sports understands.
Mboowa is a free agent having left Express FC following a defeat to Lugazi FC early this season in October.
Mbale Heroes are in search of a replacement for Asaph Mwebaze who has been the club’s head coach until his suspension last week.
The club is currently under the tutelage of Abu Mubarak Wamboya who was appointed as an interim coach.
Mboowa is set to become the fourth coach to take charge of Mbale Heroes after Mwebaze, Wamboya and Richard Malinga.
Mboowa will be tasked to guide the Mbale based club to safety following an abysmal start to the season.
Mbale Heroes will face Maroons FC in their first game of the season today at Luzira Prisons Grounds.
The Surgeons are currently on 2nd from bottom with nine points after 13 league games played.
