Augustine Carl Mugalu the UHF Secretary General has confirmed the date for the kick of the 2025 Handball season.
He made the remarks on Saturday 11th-January at the Old Kampala Arena after the All Star Select 2025 where The Kings emerged victorious after defeating the Leopards 45-41,

“We anticipate a very good competitive season that will start in March and this game has helped us to get the players ready the players that have played today are those who were so outstanding last year.”
“We shall have the champions league on 1st and 2nd March which comprises of the best four from last season, we have also have the Novices on 8th.”
The National Handball Select Showdown is a brain child of former Handball players making effort to revitalise the senior national team.
At the end of the game the outstanding individuals were awarded with accolades
