Eric Ssenjobe and striker Alfred Leku scored two late goals for URA FC to claim a 2-0 win over KCCA FC at Mehta Sports Stadium in Lugazi.
With the game destined for a barren stalemate, Ssenjobe broke the deadlock in the 72nd minutes after he initiated a move that involved Joseph Ssemujju who then set him up to thump the ball past Benjamin Ochan.
Leku who had came off the bench for Kabon Living early in the second half, made it 2-0 in the third minute of the added five and ultimately put the game to bed.
The former Arua Hill striker was on a receiving end of a clearance from Saidi Kyeyune before racing towards goal and perfectly shot past Dennis Iguma and Ochan.
KCCA are now winless in the last four league games and seemingly lose more ground every other game as far as the title race is concerned.
Badru Kaddu was in charge of the team temporarily as the club hopes to announce a new coach in the coming hours.
KCCA remain second placed on 38 points from 20 games, SC Villa top the table with 43 from 22 games played while Vipers who have played 18 games are closing in with 35 points.
URA are now 4th place with 33 points from the 22 games they have played so far.
Next on card, URA will visit Vipers at Kitende on Saturday 22nd April while KCCA will host Villa at Lugogo on Sunday.
