KCCA initially won the encounter 2-0 when both sides met on January 7th 2025 at Kakyeeka Stadium in Mbarara courtesy of second half goals by Etienne Katenga and Emmanuel Anyama.
However, Mbarara City reacted swiftly and petitioned FUFA as KCCA fielded Gavin Kizito who had three accumulated three bookings.
Kizito got booked in the games against Mbale Heroes, Police FC and NEC FC which automatically ruled out of the game against Mbarara City.
The ruling takes Mbarara City’s tally to 17 points and a place higher after 15 league games played.
KCCA subsequently slips from the third place to the 5th place on 24 points.
