Jackson Magera will begin his KCCA FC reign as interim head coach when they face off with NEC FC in the Uganda Premier league contest on Thursday.
Magera replaced Portuguese tactician Sergio Traguil who was relieved of his duties on Tuesday following a poor string of results.
The 13 time Uganda Premier league champions have lost their opening four games which is their worst start to a league campaign.
Magera is now the man to revival fortunes at KCCA FC.
They face a NEC side that has managed three wins in their opening four league games. Hussein Mbalangu coached side beat UPDF in their most recent fixtures.
What the coaches say,
Magera (KCCA FC)
“We are looking for confidence and the only way to get that confidence is to win the game.” We want to ensure everyone is in the right place mentally, physically and tactically.” Said Magera
Mbalangu (NEC)
“We are ready and prepared for the game against KCCA FC. They might have changed the coach but the team remains KCCA FC, they are a strong side but we are ready and focused to face them.” Said Mbalangu

This is the first meeting between the two sides in the league. They however faced off in the friendly game with the Kasasiro Boys prevailing 1-0.
