The final Draw of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) has been held on Monday at the Mohammed V National Theatre in Rabat.
African legends Joseph Yobo (Nigeria), Serge Aurier (Ivory Coast), Aliou Cisse (Senegal) and Mustapha Hadji (Morocco) assisted in the draw.
Uganda Cranes who are making a return to the prestigious African competition have been drawn in Group C along with three time winners Nigeria, 2004 champions Tunisia and East African neighbors Tanzania.
Uganda are making their eighth appearance at the competition with their best performance coming at the 1978 edition when they finished as runners up to eventual winners Ghana.
Nigeria will be making their 21st appearance and have won the competition three times in 1980, 1994, 2013 whereas Tunisia are to participate in their 22 AFCON finals with their only triumph coming in 2004.
Host Nation Morocco are in group A with Mali, Zambia and Comoros while Group B has record winners Egypt, South Africa, Angola and Zimbabwe.
Group D has Senegal, DR Congo, Benin and Botswana while Algeria, Burkina Faso, Equatorial Guinea and Sudan have been paired in Group E.
Current holders Ivory Coast, five time winners Cameroon, Gabon and Mozambique are in Group F.
The 35th edition of the continental showpiece will be hosted in Morocco from December 21st 2025 to January, 18th 2026.
