Denis Iguma has joined Kenya Premier League giants Tusker FC from Uganda’s Police FC, Swift Sports exclusively confirms.
Iguma has put pen to paper on a one year contract with the 13 time Kenya Premier League winners.
The experienced versatile defender leaves Police FC, a side he has captained since the start of the season.
The transfer process was orchestrated and brokered by Patrick Macheme, a fast rising intermediary.
Iguma’s arrival is regarded as a massive boost to the Tusker’s title ambitions heading into the business end of the season.
The former KCCA, SC Villa and Victoria University utility player automatically becomes the fifth Ugandan player in Tusker’s current squad.
Others are; Boban Zirintusa, George Kaddu, John Toki Byamukama and striker Deogracious Ojok.
Iguma has had previous stints beyond boarders with Al-Ahed and Bekaa Club both in Lebanon as well as Kazma SC in Kuwait.
Tusker are currently second on the Kenya Premier League table with 36 points, same as leaders Kenya Police who have a slightly better goal difference.
