Uganda Cranes forward Rogers Kassim Mato has completed his move to North Macedonian record champions Vardar FC.

Mato joins Vardar from fellow North Macedonian side FK Brera Strumica, a side he has played for since February 2024.

Mato scored on his debut in the 83rd minute as Vardar FC lost 2-1 to Ukrainian side Veres Rivne in a friendly game last week in Antalya, Turkey.

The Cranes winger had an impressive stint at Brera Strumica scoring five goals and grabbing seven assists in the 35 games he played.

His new side Vardar will be seeking to end the season in a respectable finish having spent the better part of the season in the relegation zone.

Despite being the record champions with 11 titles, Vardar are second from the bottom of the table with 13 points collected from 18 games played.

Mato previously played for Proline FC and KCCA FC in Uganda and Sanliurfaspor FC in the Turkish second tier.

He has 25 caps with the Uganda Cranes and scored three goals in the process against South Africa, Somalia and Tanzania.
