Onduparaka, Soroti Thunders sanctioned over Uganda Cup No Shows

Onduparaka FC and Soroti Thunders FC have been handed a suspended of three points and three goals by the FUFA Disciplinary Panel for violating Article 15 (37) of the FUFA Competitions Rules and regulations.

Onduparaka FC failed to honour their Stanbic Uganda Cup Round of 64 match against Bushenyi Veterans FC that was scheduled for January, 16th 2025.

On that day, Onduparaka revealed that they had requested the Federation for a postponement to prepare for the memorial of their former player Rashid Agau but the FIFA denied their request.

Meanwhile, Regional league side Soroti Thunders FC also did not show up for their game against Black Power that was also slated for 16th January in the same competition.

Soroti Thunders and their supporters travelled to Kidetok Primary School playground in Serere while their visitors Blacks Power and match officials were at the venue that was communicated by FUFA (Soroti Stadium).

The points and goals deduction will be immediately imposed in the league Onduparaka FC and Soroti Thunders FC are playing if they miss another Uganda Cup match.

Both Onduparaka FC and Soroti Thunders FC have also been cautioned against contravention FUFA Competitions rules lest the FDP shall be constrained to take stringent measures.
