Shafik Kagimu has completed a move to FK Brera Strumica on loan from FK Rabotnicki Skopje in the North Macedonian topflight league.
The former URA FC captain will play for Brera Strumica until the end of the ongoing season, Swift Sports understands.
He will automatically become the second Ugandan player ever to feature for Brera Strumica after winger Rogers Kassim Mato.
As earlier reported by this website, Mato left Brera Strumica and joined FK Vardar (still in North Macedonia) about a week ago.
Kagimu’s immediate task at Brera Strumica is guiding the club to a respectable finish as the club sits 8th on the table with 19 points from 18 games played.
Kagimu joined FK Rabotnicki Skopje at the start of the previous season following a brief but successful stint with Gor Mahia in Kenya.
He played 12 games for FK Rabotnicki Skopje in the opening half of the current season and provided one assist in the process.
