Stanbic Uganda Cup Holders Kitara FC scrapped past Kampala Regional league side CATDA to reach the last 16 with a 2-1 victory at the Bugolobi Coffee Ground.
Patrick Henry Kaddu and an own goal from Kikambwe Martin saw the Wasswa Bbosa coached side overcome a stubborn CATDA.
Kaddu gave the visitors the lead in the 71st minute before the home side levelled matters in the 84th minute.
Kitara established their lead in the 89th minute when Kikambwe connected in his own net.
The holders join SC Villa who edged Buganda Regional league side Simba FC 1-0, Rwenzori Lions and Express FC tormentors Total FC into the last 16.
Following their progression, Kitara FC will turn focus in the Uganda Premier league hosting URA FC on 1st March, 2025.
