Denis Omedi was once again on the score sheet as Booma FC rallied from behind to hold Jinja North to a 1-1 draw at Bugembe Stadium.

Jinja North took the lead through experienced forward Paul Kibande in the 44th minute and ensured a half time lead.

Omedi stepped up to the occasion to equalize seven minutes into the second half.

The much needed equalizer took Omedi’s tally to 21 goals from 24 games played.

Omedi who is also a prison warder and a certified nurse, became the first player to score 20 goals in a single FUFA Big League season during last week’s 1-0 win over Kyetume.

He currently leads the scorers chart with five goals clear of his immediate competitor Henry Kitegenyi of Mbarara City who has 16 goals.

Booma remain 6th on the table with 35 points while Jinja North sit a place below them with 34 points.

A total of 36 goals have been scored in eight games played on match day 24.
