Six time Uganda Premier league champions Vipers SC will be without their skipper Milton Karisa for an extended period after suffering a injury setback.
Vipers confirmed through their website that Karisa will be out for an extended spell on the sidelines after suffering a setback in his recovery from injury.
Karisa has a muscle issue (partial tear of the quadriceps femoris muscle). The forward has been out of action since Vipers slim victory over Maroons FC in January and has since gone through rehabilitation.
Before his injury, Karisa had managed to score seven league goals for the club.
Meanwhile, Vipers’ January signing Isaac Ogwang who limped off in the victory over URA FC is expected to return to action after the international break while forward Annest Ankunda is out for the rest of the season with a broken bone fracture in his foot.
