USSSA bans five schools over age cheating and other factors in Schools tournaments

The Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) has confirmed the schools banned from taking part in tournaments organized by the body.

USSSA is the governing body responsible for organizing and regulating secondary schools Sports across the country.

According to USSSA, St.Andrews Kaggwa Gombe High School, Royal Giants High School have been banned for two years from all USSSA football tournaments.

Tororo Town College will not be participating in the U-20 USSSA football tournaments for two years while Madinah Islamic will not compete in the U-16 football tournaments for two years.

Musana Vocational High School has been banned from competing in the U-20 Volleyball tournament for two years.

USSSA revealed the reasons why the five schools are banned, the reasons including,

•Age Cheating ( Fielding overage players in youth tournaments).
Use of Ineligible Players •Registering non-students or players from other schools.
Misconduct & Violence •Unacceptable behavior by players, coaches, or fans.
•Forgery of Documents – Falsifying academic or player records.
