Uganda Premier league champions SC Villa will be desperate for maximum points when they host Maroons FC on Sunday at the refurbished Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.

The Jogoos are unbeaten at home this term winning six and drawing three of the nine games they have hosted.

When Muteesa II Stadium was under renovations, SC Villa hosted both URA FC and their rivals Express FC at Luzira winning the two games 1-0 respectively.

Wankulukuku last hosted a league game in December last year when SC Villa drew 1-1 with Police FC. The stadium has since been under renovations ahead of the rescheduled African Nations Championships (CHAN) due in August this year.

SC Villa lost their previous league match 2-0 at UPDF FC while Maroons FC played out to a goalless stalemate with KCCA FC.

The two sides shared spoils in a one all draw in the reverse fixture this term.

Last season, SC Villa beat Maroons FC 2-1 at Wankulukuku with Patrick Jonah Kakande inspiring the comeback.

Meanwhile, SC Villa have only lost once against Maroons in the past 12 league meetings winning five and drawing the rest.

Both sides are currently level on 24 points with SC Villa eighth while Maroons are tenth on the league standings.
