BUSOGA KINGDOM HAILS FORTEBET FOR SAVING SICKLE CELL LIVES

Editor

The second deputy prime minister of Busoga Kingdom Osman Noor Ahmed hailed ForteBet Uganda for its endless fight against the deadly sickle cell disease that has ravaged Busoga sub region.

“For some time now, I have witnessed ForteBet being part of this big health concern. On behalf of the King, I should say, we’re happy and do not stop at this,” Noor said.

These words of thanks were given during the annual ForteBet sponsored Jinja sickle cell run, a run aimed at raising funds to help in the management and treatment of, especially children with sickle cell. This run is organized by Raising Hope International Friends (RHIF). According to the CEO, RHIF, Isaac Okello, over 20,000 children are born with sickle cell every year. However, over 80% of these die before the age of 5, if they do not get proper healthcare. “This explains the reason why we’re committed to raising funds to help these kids have a good future,” Okello said.

Alex Muhangi, and John Nanyumba graced the occasion on behalf of ForteBet

Lots of gifts were won by the winners.
