NEC FC head coach has expressed his frustration after NEC’s late win over Kitara FC on Thursday at Lugogo.
Mbalangu criticised referee Dick Okello for sending off midfielder Enock Ssebaggala for a second bookable offence in the second period of the contest in Lugogo.
“They fouled Ssebagala first, but the referee didn’t call it. Instead, he reacts to the second challenge and sends him off. Is that fairness?” Said Mbalangu as quoted by NBS Sports
“I don’t care let a team win through hard work, not by being supported. That’s not football,” he fumed. “I am someone who is transparent and humble, but we need a fair.” People invest a lot of money into this sport. They deserve better than this.”
Mbalangu’s whose side trail leaders Vipers SC by two points ahead their title showdown on Thursday next week asserts that they will continue to fight for the title this term
“Who said that the trophy must be won by one club? I don’t care. Come what may, we will fight and we will win. I’m Hussein Mbalangu, and I don’t fear.” He stated
Vipers SC currently lead the table standings with 53 points while NEC are second on 51 points.
