The FUFA Disciplinary Panel has fined seven time Uganda Premier league champions Express over Hooliganism.
According to the FUFA Disciplinary Panel Express FC has been sanctioned for breaching Article 14 of the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Code in their 2-2 stalemate with Vipers on 11th April at Hamz Stadium in Nakivubo.
Express FC fans were disappointed with the match officials at Full-time after Gusto Mulongo’s late equalizer for the Venoms.
“FDP found that Express FC supporters threw bottles at match officials, constituting acts of hooliganism in violation of Article 14(11) of the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Code, and deemed this conduct a serious breach of the Code.”
“Express FC was handed a suspended two point and two goal deduction, to be imposed if the sanctioned conduct is repeated.
Additionally, Express FC have been fined UGX 1,000,000 payable within 14 days from the ruling. Express FC is also hereby warned regarding its future conduct.”
Express FC will return to action Thursday, 24th April with a home fixture against UPDF FC.
