Kitara FC head coach Wasswa Bbosa has promised the club fans that the club will advance to the Stanbic Uganda Cup final for the second consecutive time.
Kitara FC were drawn against three time competition winners Vipers SC in the two legged semifinal on Monday but Bbosa is optimistic of guiding the side to yet another final.
“Both Vipers SC and Kitara FC are strong teams but we shall plan for a team we know well. I promise the fans that we shall play the final.” Said Bbosa
Bbosa replaced Brian Ssenyondo at Kitara FC last year and will be seeking to lead the club to consecutive Stanbic Uganda Cup triumphs.
Last season, Kitara FC eliminated Vipers SC at the quarterfinal stage and the side went all the way to clinch their maiden Stanbic Uganda Cup title.
Meanwhile, KCCA FC under the interim stewardship of Jackson Magera will lock horns with FUFA Big League side Kataka FC in the other Semifinal. Kataka has so far eliminated two Uganda Premier league sides in URA FC and Police FC.
According to the FUFA Competitions department, the first legs will be played on 3rd and 4th May with the second legs scheduled for 17th and 18th of the same month.
