Shamirah Nalugya and coach Edward Kasozi have been named as the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League Best of the month of March.
The pair was rewarded at the ceremony held on Tuesday at Finance Trust Bank Headquarters in Kampala.
FUFA 3rd Vice President Hon Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi and Finance Trust Bank Chief of Business Andrew Agaba graced the event.
Nalugya who features for Kampala Queens scored three goals in the month of March and was twice named player of the match.
She beat her Kampala Queens teammate Zaina Nandede and Uganda Martyrs’ skipper Latifah Nakasi who also netted three goals in March.
Kasozi is the Uganda Martyrs head coach and led them to three league wins in March.
He beat February accolade winner Asefa Firew Hailegebreal and Tooro Queens Rogers Ayesiga to the accolade.
Both Nalugya and Kasozi were rewarded with a winners’ accolade and a cash prize worth Shs500,000 courtesy of Finance Trust Bank.
