Hussein Mbalangu’s NEC FC will be hoping to keep their title hopes alive when they visit Mbarara City FC on Wednesday at Kakyeka Stadium.
They currently trail leaders Vipers SC by eight points following the Venoms’ 1-0 win over UPDF FC on Tuesday at Kitende.
Mbalangu’s side have struggled on the road in the previous five league matches, winning just once.
Mbarara City on the other hand are still fighting relegation and are just four points above the Red zone.
They are also winless in nine matches and victory over second placed NEC will see them move closer to surviving relegation. They lost 1-0 to KCCA FC in their previous league contest at Lugogo.
Team News
