Buddo SS became the first team to reach the USSSA boys’ national football final after shooting out Bukedea Comprehensive School in the semifinal on Tuesday in Ngora District.
The Richard Malinga coached side prevailed 5-4 on penalties after a goalless stalemate with Bukedea in the first semifinal.
Buddo return to the final for the first time since 2018 when they won the title in Mbarara.
Malinga’s side has previously won the prestigious Schools’ competition twice in 2009 and 2018.
They will await the winner between joint competition champions St Mary’s Secondary School Kitende and JIPRA who face off in the other semifinal.
