Ugandan defender Derrick Ngoobi has officially confirmed his departure from Kenyan side Sofapaka FC just after only five months.
Ngoobi joined Sofapaka FC in February this year after his two years employment contract with Express FC expired.
The versatile defender who can play as a center back and as a right back used his official social media handles to confirm his departure,
“Thanks for the beautiful moments shared together in the hard situations passed through just wish the best for the club.”
Ngoobi is a former players of Kikyusa Cream, Luweero United, Soltilo Bright Stars and Express.
He won the prestigious Masaza Cup championship with Bulemeezi in 2019.
Midfielder Thomas Kakaire and striker Seif Batte were the other Ugandans at Sofapaka last season.
Sofapaka survived relegation last season after beating Naivas FC 2-0 on aggregate in the Relegation/Promotion playoff.
