Three Ugandan officials appointed for CAF Interclub finals

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed three Ugandans for the anticipated CAF Interclub finals.

The three are Dixon Bond Okello (Security), Leila Nankya (Events) and Ahmed Hussein (Media).

Okello will oversee safety and security for the CAF Champions League final 2nd leg between Pyramids FC of Egypt and Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa in Cairo on 1st June 2025.

Nankya, who is also the FUFA Events Manager will handle Guest Management during the 2nd leg of the CAF Confederation Cup final between Simba SC and Morocco’s RS Berkane in Zanzibar on 25th May 2025.

Hussein, who is the Communications Director of FUFA, will also serve as the Match Media Officer for the Simba SC vs RS Berkane.

It should be noted that Hussein was also the Media Officer for the 2nd leg semi-final between record holders Al Ahly and Mamelodi Sundowns last month.

The first leg between RS Berkane and Simba in Morocco ended 2-0 in favour of the newly crowned Moroccan champions.
