The organisers of the Pepsi University Football League have awarded their outstanding performers for the 2024/25 season.
Uganda Martyrs University versatile player Joseph Kayondo claimed the top gong at the awarding ceremony held at Kati Kati in Lugogo on Tuesday.
Kayondo who scored five goals and two assists for UMU on their way to claiming their third University Football League title was named as the Most Valuable player of the season.
Kampala University’s Wanume Gilbert finished the season as the top scorer with six goals to his name whereas Kiwa Faustino of Bugema University took the Sports Tutor of the season award.
Uganda Martyrs University head coach Eric Kisuze clinched the coach of the season accolade after guiding his side to the title. During their triumph, UMU managed 9 wins and 2 draws in the 11 games they played this season.

Kumi University’s Alele Tom clinched the Rookie of the season whereas the goalkeeper of the season accolade went to Fred Ocen of Ndejje University.
Ocen managed 7 clean sheets in the 8 games his side played.
Jjonga Nicholas was named as the midfielder of the season whereas Matege Innocent of St Lawrence University took the most assist award for his 5 assists this term.
