17-time league Champions SC Villa are set to lose close to six players whose contracts are bound to expire.

The six include Uganda Cranes duo of Ronald Ssekiganda and Patrick Jonah Kakande whose contracts expire at the end of the current month.

Both Kakande and Ssekiganda are expected to depart SC Villa for greener pastures beyond borders.

The Jogoos previously engaged in negotiations for possible contract extensions but their attempts emerged futile.

Other players on the verge of an exit are goalkeeper Meddie Kibirige, Aslam Ssemakula, Tony Atukunda and defender Arnold Odong.

Odong and Atukunda have only six months left on their employment contracts whereas Kibirige and Ssemakula will be free agents at the end of this month.

Ssemakula has been one of the shining prospects in Villa’s dim 2024/25 season scoring four league goals and assisting the other.

SC Villa, under coach Morley Byekwaso finished 6th on the UPL table with 45 points from 30 games played.
