The 2025 Buganda Masaza Cup Group stage draw has been held on Thursday, 29th May 2025 at the Buganda Symposium in Makerere.
Holders Buddu are in Bulange group along with record winners Gomba, Busujju, Buluuli, Busiro, and Ssese. Only Busujju and Ssese have never won the event in this group.
Last year’s runners up Kyaggwe are in Muganzirwazza group with two time winners Ssingo, Kabula, Butambala, Kkooki and Mawogola.
Masengere group has been dubbed as the group of death with Buweekula, Kyaddondo, Mawokota, Bugerere, Buvuma and Bulemeezi. In this group Kyaddondo, Mawokota and Bulemeezi have won the competition before while Buweekula, Buvuma and Bugerere have never won the event.
Buddu will host Gomba in the opener of this year’s prestigious competition at Kitovu Sports Arena on 21st June 2025.
Gomba are the record competition winners with five triumphs 2004, 2009, 2014, 2017 and 2020 whereas Buddu have won the event three times in 2016, 2021 and 2024.
