Uganda Premier league side NEC FC have agreed terms with Wakiso Giants striker Hudson Mbalire, Swift Sports Uganda understands.
Mbalire who joined the Purple Sharks at the start of the just concluded 2024/25 season on a three year deal will join NEC FC on a two year employment contract.
He joined Wakiso Giants after impressing at Kampala Regional League side CATDA FC in the 2023/24 season where he scored 11 goals and provided seven assists.
The lanky forward netted six times for the Purple Sharks in the 2024/25 season which was also his debut season in the topflight division.
Mbalire has previously starred in the University Football League while playing for Kyambogo University.
The lanky forward also played for SC Lamancia in the Kampala Regional League, Kkooki and Bugerere and currently features for Buddu in the Masaza Cup.
NEC FC is expected to be busy in the market with continental football on the cards for Hussein Mbalangu coached side. They will represent Uganda at next season’s CAF Confederation Cup.
