Thomas Kakaire joins Kenya Premier League side

Former Uganda Hippos and Cubs midfielder Thomas Kakaire has completed his move to Kenya Premier League side Sofapaka FC.

Kakaire joins the Batoto Ba Mungu after leaving Uganda Premier League side Mbarara City FC.

The youthful midfielder joins fellow Ugandans Derrick Ngoobi and Sheif Batte who also joined Sofapaka in the concluded transfer window.

Both Batte and Ngoobi were playing for Express FC until recently when they parted ways with the Red Eagles.

Kakaire is a former U17 and U20 national team player and represented Ugandan at the U17 AFCON tournament in 2018 in Tanzania.

He is also a former student of Royal Giant and St. Marty’s Kitende.

Consequently, Kakaire featured for the Soltilo Bright Stars Junior Team and the Vipers Juniors Team as well.

He is expected to debut for the 2009 Kenya Premier League champions as they visit Talanta FC on Sunday afternoon.
