Matia Lule is unlikely to extend his stay at Uganda Premier league side Police FC, Swift Sports Uganda understands.

This website has established that Lule who had a short term employment contract at the Cops is unlikely to renew his stay.

According to sources, renewal talks are on the verge of collapse due to disagreement over wages of the tactician.

Lule was appointed as Police FC head coach in April this year following the departure of Simon Peter Mugerwa.

Lule managed eight league games at Police FC, managing four wins, one draw and suffered three defeats.

Besides, Police FC Lule has previously coached KCCA FC, Express FC, Proline FC, Entebbe FC as well as Tanzanian sides Stand FC, Mbeya City and Singida Big Stars among others.

He was also assistant coach at Tanzania Premier League side Ihefu SC alongside Fred Kajoba (RIP) until the end of the 2023/24 season.

Lule was also Uganda Cubs head coach in 2014 and assistant coach for the Uganda Cranes during the era of Sebastien Desabre.

The Cops finished the 2024/25 season in 11th position with 36 points after 30 Games and were eliminated at the quarterfinal stage in the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
