Kikomeko signs new BUL FC contract

Uganda Premier league side BUL FC have extended Abbey Kikomeko’s contract for two years, ending speculation over the tactician’s future.

Kikomeko joined BUL FC ahead of the 2023/24 season taking over from Simon Masaba who was serving as interim coach.

“BUL FC is delighted to announce that Head Coach Bogere Abbey Kikomeko has signed a new two-year contract, extending his stay with the club until the end of the 2026/27 season.” BUL FC confirmed

Kikomeko expressed his delight upon signing a new deal

“I am excited to be signing another two-year contract with BUL FC. I promise to continue working hard to fulfill my dream, winning the Uganda Premier League for this great club. I call on our fans to stand with us and work together as one family. I’m grateful to the chairman, and the board for trusting me to lead BUL FC for another two seasons, even amid current challenges.” He stated as quoted by the club website

During his tenure, Kikomeko has led BUL FC to back-to-back FUFA Super 8 trophies in 2023 and 2024. He also guided the Eastern Giants to a second place finish during the 2023/24 season and third position last term.
