Kitara FC defender Benjamin Nyakoojo has rejected a move to Uganda Premier league side Maroons FC, Swift Sports Uganda understands.
Maroons were interested in his services but the defender rejected the offer with suggestions he might be fancying a move to NEC FC or leaning towards staying with Wasswa Bbosa’s Royals.
Nyakoojo remains on NEC FC’s radar in this transfer window.
His previous employment contract at Kitara FC expired in June this year.
He has for the previous two seasons been featuring for the Hoima based side having joined them from URA FC.
The towering defender spent five solid years at URA FC having joined them at the start of the 2018/19 season.
Nyakoojo played a pivotal role for Kitara FC in their Stanbic Uganda Cup triumph in 2024.
He is a former St. Mary’s Kitende player who also featured Vipers SC as well as Masavu FC and Entebbe FC.
