Shafik Kagimu joins new club in Asia

Shafik Kagimu ‘Kuchi’ has completed a move to Bangladesh Police FC on a two year contract.

Kagimu has been a free agent after his contract with North Macedonian topflight side FK Rabotnicki expired at the end of the previous season.

He spent the closing half of the previous season on loan at AP Brera Strumica also in the North Macedonian topflight league.

Kagimu played 16 games for Brera Strumica registering two assists and subsequently helped the club to survive relegation.

He played for a total of 34 games for FK Rabotnicki, scored one goal and provided two assists in the process.

He has been a transfer target of Uganda Premier League sides NEC FC and Entebbe UPPC FC, as earlier reported.

Locally, Kagimu played for URA FC in the Uganda Premier League before joining Kenyan giants Gor Mahia in 2023.

Kagimu’s new club Police FC competes in the Bangladesh Premier League and finished 7th on the table in the 2024/25 season.
