Nantabulirwa FC and Masaka Sunshine FC won their respective third division promotional playoff encounters to sportingly earn Buganda Regional League Promotion.
In the early kick off Nantabulirwa FC defeated Kikamulo United FC 4-2 in spot kicks after the two sides playing to a goalless full time draw.
Denis Ssewagudde, Mansoor Zidane and Huzafah Koma were on target each as Masaka Sunshine FC defeated Ntunda Old Timers 3-2 in the second game played at Mityana Ssaza grounds.
Ntunda Old Timers goals were scored by Saidi Ssenyonjo and Douglas Lwetute.
Coach Abbey Kakumilizi of Masaka Sunshine FC appreciated the youngsters for the fighting spirit that help them achieve their seasonal target,
“It has been a long progress organising this team that helped us achieve our goal the players gave the best and we thank God for now.”
“We can not predict what will come at the next level we have been promoted to for now we are celebrating our promotion.”
Masaka Sunshine FC and Nantabulirwa FC will featured in the Buganda Regional League 2024-25 Season.
