NEC FC have handed Allan Mugalu a new three year contract that will keep him at the club until 2028.
Mugalu’s initial contract had expired in June having joined the club in 2023 from Arua Hill SC on a two year contract.
He played an integral role as NEC finished runners up of the Stanbic Uganda Cup in 2024 and was consequently named the best midfielder of the tournament.
He becomes the second player to sign a contract extension after goalkeeper Samson Kirya who recently signed a new one year contract.
NEC FC have already unveiled former KCCA and Express FC left back Mustafa Kizza on a two year contract.
The club has already signed a number of players in preparation for the upcoming season that will also see them compete in the CAF Confederation Cup for the first time in history.
Joseph Sseremba, Charles Waibi, Warren Buule, Titus Ssematimba, Daniel Shabena and Timothy Muwanguzi are some of the new signings yet to be unveiled.
NEC will play against Kenya’s Nairobi United FC in the first preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup next month.
