Seven time Uganda Premier League champions Express FC have agreed terms with former Wakiso Giants midfielder Lawrence Bukenya.
Swift Sports Uganda understands that Bukenya will put pen to paper on a two year employment contract with the Red Eagles.
Bukenya is a product of the KCCA soccer academy but featured for the Purple Sharks and Kitara FC in the Uganda Premier League.
Express FC are also interested in signing Bukenya’s former teammates at Wakiso Giants Moses Oloya and Musa Segujja.
Express under coach Badru Kaddu are expected to go for a blend between the experienced and the young blood in the recruitment process.
The Red Eagles want to boost their squad that has already lost players Saidi Kyeyune who joined Police FC and Alex Emmanuel Wasswa who is Kitara bound.
The 7-time league champions finished a distant 10th on the table with 39 points from 30 games played.
