SC Villa, Mbarara City and Police FC confirm new home Grounds for 2025/26 season

The 2025/26 Uganda Premier League will officially kickoff on Friday, 26th September but several teams will have new home grounds for the new season.

The development was confirmed on Friday as the fixtures for the first round were released.

Record Uganda Premier League champions SC Villa who have been using Muteesa II stadium in Wankulukuku as their home venue have now shifted to FUFA-Kadiba Stadium in Mengo.

Mbarara City will shift from Kakyeka Stadium to Rwamwanja Stadium in Kamwenge. Kakyeka Stadium failed to meet the FUFA licensing standards.

Rwamwanja Stadium is located in Nkoma Cell, Katalyeba in Kamwenge district and was built with funding from the World Bank under the refugee window through the Uganda Support to Municipal Infrastructure programme USMID.

Police FC will host their games at their new home Kiira Road Police Arena in Kamwokya. The Cops have been using Kavumba Recreational ground as their home for the previous seasons.

New comers Calvary FC and Entebbe UPCC will temporarily use Midigo Primary School Playground and Bugonga Fisheries Ground respectively.

Another new comer in Buhimba Saints FC will use the Royal Park in Butema, Hoima as their home ground.

The 2025/26 Uganda Premier League season is expected to kickoff on 26th September 2025.
