The FUFA TV Cup dubbed “The Showdown16” continued with match-day three on Thursday in Gulu District.
Eight games were played on match-day three with holders Nabumali High School and Muntuyera High School registering big wins.
Nabumali powered 5-1 past Jinja SS in the Abubaker Kasule netted a quadruple with Situma Emmanuel scoring the other goal for the champions.
Kasule scored a first half hat-trick before adding the other in the second period. Kigongo Elvis found a consolation for Jinja College.
Dr.Obote College Boroboro continued with their fine run with yet another victory. They humbled Ngora High School 3-0 thanks to goals from Hilal Habib Alahal, Otuna Tony and Ariong Moses.
Duhanga SS were 1-0 victors over Mpanga SS with Isaiah Muhairwe scoring the all important goal while St.Balikuddembe Mitala Maria edged Mengo SS 2-0.
Gabunga Exaviour and Senyondo Paddy scored the two goals for St.Balikuddembe to hand Mengo their third defeat of the campaign.
Kibirige Jovan scored the only goal as St.Charles Lwanga Kasasa overcame host St.College Layibi 1-0 in the entertaining contest on Thursday. This was hosts first defeat of the competition.
Muntuyera High School were the biggest scorers with their 4-0 thrashing of Kako SS on Match-Day three.
