Uganda Cranes head coach Paul Joseph Put says he was disappointed with the fans’ attendance in his side’s impressive 4-0 win over Mozambique on Friday.

The Belgian asserts that he expected a full to capacity Mandela National Stadium as the Cranes kept their World Cup hopes alive in Group G.

” I have been a little disappointed because I expected a full stadium but Ugandans never came in full to support their team.”

Put is hopeful that the fans will storm Namboole in big numbers on Monday.

“I hope they come in more numbers on Monday to support their team.” Said Put

About 37000 fans came to support the Cranes as goals from Allan Okello, Rogers Mato and Elio Caprodossi secured maximum points for Put’s men.

Uganda Cranes tickets for Monday’s game against Somalia will go for Ordinary Shs20,000, Silver Shs30000, VIP Shs50000 and Platinum Shs150,000.

The Cranes are currently second in Group G of the World Cup Qualifiers with 12 points, six below leaders Algeria who are closing in on an automatic qualification place.
