The final of the 2025 FUFA TV Cup will be contested between Kibuli SS and Jinja SSS on Tuesday 9th September 2025 at St.Joseph’s College Layibi.
Jinja SSS eliminated last year’s winners Nabumali High School in the semifinal contest on Sunday.
Bbuye Isaac scored the all important goal for Jinja SSS to send them into the fight for glory on the final day of the Showdown in Gulu district.
To reach the semifinals, Jinja SSS eliminated Dr.Obotr Boroboro 2-0 while Nabumali overcame St.Charles Lwanga Kasasa 6-5 after a 1-1 draw in normal time.
Kibuli SS needed a 7-6 shootout win over hosts St.Joseph’s College Layibi to set up a final meeting with Jinja SSS.
The two sides had played out to a 1-1 stalemate in normal time with Matovu Ramathan scoring for Kibuli while Ogenrworth Kenneth netted for St.Joseph’s College Layibi.
The final is slated for Tuesday 9th, September at St.Joseph’s College Layibi. On the same day Nabumali High will wrestle it out with hosts St.Joseph’s College in the third place playoff.
Last year, Nabumali High School edged Nganwa High School 2-0 to lift the trophy at FUFA Technical Center in Njeru.
