UPDF FC have confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Abdul Kimera as the new UPL draws closer.

Kimera signed a two year contract with the Army Men following his departure from Mbarara City.

His arrival boosts the club’s goalkeeping department that has also had an addition of Shamulan Kamya from Soltilo Bright Stars.

He comes as a direct replacement for Richard Anyama who joined South Sudanese champions Jamus SC in July.

Kimera joins UPDF FC

Kimera has briefly turned out for BUL FC, Police FC, Express FC and Mbarara City in the last five seasons.

UPDF are under the stewardship of Paul Kiwanuka alongside Alex Gitta heading into the upcoming Uganda Premier League season.

The club also signed towering defender Satulo Edward from Kenya’s Bandari FC, as earlier reported by this website.
