Uganda Premier League side Lugazi FC has confirmed their team captains for the 2025/26 season.
Richard Ayiko who was the team captain last season will continue serving in the same capacity for next season.
Ayiko joined Lugazi FC from Bul FC in 2024 and was the team captain during the club’s first season in the top-flight last term.
He will be assisted by Paul Wasswa and Abdul Kalanzi.
Lugazi earlier beefed up their coaching staff with Francis Mugerwa ahead of the 2025/26 season. He had previously coached at Proline FC, Maroons FC, Onduparaka FC, Kitara FC, Arua Hill and Soltilo Bright Stars.
The Najjembe based side finished 13th on the Uganda Premier League table with 31 points from 30 games played.
Lugazi will kick off the 2025/26 UPL campaign against Calvary FC on Friday, September 27, at Lugazi Stadium, Najjembe.
