Police FC has named midfield Saidi Kyeyune as their captain for the 2025/26 season that kicks off on Friday, 26th September.
Kyeyune joined the Cops in the just concluded transfer window after expiration of his employment contract at Express FC.
Kyeyune also featured for URA FC in the Uganda Premier League as well as Sudanese giants El-Merriekh.
Samuel Kayongo who served as the club captain last season is the first assistant while Tonny Kiwalazi is the second assistant captain at Police FC.
Police FC has been busy in the transfer market and beefed up their team with the acquisition of Richard Matovu, Stephen Namaisi, Derrick Maviiri, Benon Tahomera and Lawrence Tezikya.
Sizwe Mario from Eswatini and Bedia Ikamba are the other new signings at Police FC.
The Cops also renewed the contracts of Brian James Obedi, Emmanuel Mugume and goalkeeper Mathias Muwanga.
Police will be under the tutelage of coach Matia Lule and will host their league games at the Kiira Road Police Arena in Kamwokya. Lule and his charges will kick off their campaign against Mbarara City on Friday.
